Sadgorod Zoo
The zoo has an area of 2 hectares, there are more than 274 species of animals. Of these, 10 species are listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation, 5 species are listed in the Red Book of the Primorsky Territory.
Zoo "Sadgorod" was originally a traveling circus - the Seaside Theater of Animals. The artists bought the land so that the animals rested between tours. And here, in parallel, houses and new aviaries for animals were built. The idea of opening a zoo came a little later, when people began to come to the territory with a request to see the animals. The organizers improved the conditions of keeping animals, refused to tour with animals due to the fact that many brought sick and wounded animals to the zoo.
While there were not so many visitors, all the inhabitants of the zoo were fed by a circus camel: he worked on the Embankment in the summer and on the central square on the New Year. Everything changed, and the zoo "Sadgorod" began to work for visitors in 2007, when representatives of travel companies asked the owners to host groups. The territory of the zoo was built and landscaped thanks to visitors to the zoo, donations and investments of sponsors.
The zoo is a truly unique place where individuals from all over the world are gathered. Here, viewers will be able not only to see animals, but also to learn about them a lot of interesting and informative and feel in harmony with nature.
Zoo "Sadgorod" is constantly developing: there are processes of improvement of the territory, animals reproduce, new inhabitants come, their conditions of detention are improved.
When visiting the zoo visitors have the opportunity to see with their own eyes what love and trepidation employees treat animals. The zoo is constantly replenished with new species of mammals. Animals are not forced into the enclosure, but there are individuals who for some reason will not be able to live in their natural habitat. And this is how the zoo becomes a kind of salvation and protection from external factors of wildlife.
It is here that they will be able to see rare individuals that live only in the Primorsky Territory, for example, Ussuri tigers. Along with this, animals can be photographed for memory, feed some of them, hold and pet. The owners of the zoo guarantee that the impressions received at the zoo will remain in the memory for a long time.
