Pospelov's Fort in Vladivostok

Pospelov's Fort is located on Russky Island on the Saperny Peninsula. Now it is one of the few military fortifications that are available to tourists.

The reason for the construction of Fortification No. 4 was a difficult situation in the late 19th century, when Russia's political interests in China clashed with the interests of Japan.

The fort consists of barracks, shelters for guns and cellars. Around the fort there is a moat and drainage channels are equipped. Fort Pospelov was armed with 10 nine-pound guns and 2 machine guns. 2 nine-pound guns were mounted in the embrasures of the cofra.
