Ship embankment is the first embankment of Vladivostok
Ship embankment is one of the most iconic streets of the city, leading its history since the end of the XIX century. It was here that the first military pier was laid, and then berths for military vessels appeared. Today it is a picturesque place for walking, where you can feel the spirit of the sea Vladivostok.
The embankment offers a beautiful view of the Golden Horn Bay, the legendary Golden Bridge and the warships of the Pacific Fleet. There are memorial signs dedicated to the history of the development of the Far East and the famous memorial complex with the S-56 submarine. Within walking distance there are cafes, restaurants and other attractions of the city center.

There are a lot of monuments and historical objects: anchor and white obelisk in the form of a sail at the landing site of the founders of Vladivostok; retired and turned into a museum patrol ship "Red pennant"; open to visit submarine; chapel of Andrew the First-Called; Nikolaev triumphal gate (arch of Tsesarevich); monuments to the first builders of Vladivostok, admirals and dissidents.
The best time to visit the Ship embankment
You can visit the embankment at any time of the year, but it is especially beautiful here in summer and autumn. In the warm season, the embankment becomes a place for leisurely walks, photo shoots and romantic meetings. In autumn, bright colors of foliage are added, and in winter the embankment is covered with light snow, creating a special atmosphere of seclusion and tranquility.

- You can get to the center from any point in Vladivostok and park near the railway station or Svetlanskaya Street.
- Then walk towards the embankment.

- Take buses №55, 54, 5, 49 and others to the stop “Ploshchad Bortsov Revolyutsii”.
- Then walk for 5-10 minutes.
