The house-museum of the Sukhanov family in Vladivostok

The memorial house-museum of the Sukhanov family is the only museum of the tsarist official in Russia and one of the few wooden mansions of the XIX century preserved in Vladivostok.

The history of the Sukhanov museumpextextextextext="ador of the Tsaristanov family, which was issued by the head of Stymuse of the district of the district of Alexander. The opening of the museum in 1977 is connected with the personality of one of Sukhanov’s seven children – Konstantin, a famous revolutionary, the first head of the Council of Workers’ and Soldiers’ Deputies of Vladivostok. It is in his honor that the square near the house-museum and the street on which it is located are named.

Today the museum shows the daily life of the family of a Russian official at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries and reveals the difficult fates of people at critical moments of history on the example of the Sukhanov couple and their children.
