Kosa Nazimova

Kosa Nazimov - the southernmost beach of Primorsky Krai
From the side of the bay Expedition coast is covered with stones, there are almost no waves, since the bay is closed. But the waves of the open Bay of Reid Pallas grinded stones into fine sand, and it is here that tourists like to rest.
On the placer of stones at the end of Nazimov's spit, a lighthouse 5.4 meters high is installed. It is listed at number 2 in the register of domestic lighthouses. The first line is occupied by the southernmost Gamov lighthouse.
The lighthouse is named after the Russian navigator, Pacific Ocean explorer Pavel Nikolaevich Nazimov. His surname is both the cape and the spit, at the end of which there is a navigation sign

Historical facts about Nazimov's Spit

The lighthouse was built later, in 1910 it was equipped with a light-optical apparatus with a kerosene lighthouse lamp, and in the fog lighthouses beat the bell. In 1956, on the Spit of Nazimov instead of the bell began to use a sound-signal installation.
