Event Festival "Seaside Monsoons"

Primorsky Monsoon Event Festival in Vladivostok
"Primorsky monsoons" is a large brand event that expands the boundaries of the tourist season, attracting a different age audience, interesting both to residents and guests of the Primorsky Territory.
Why the monsoon, why did the festival get its name? For Russia, this is a unique phenomenon that is characteristic only for the Primorsky Territory. In winter, monsoons blow from land to the sea, and in summer – from the ocean to the mainland. The monsoons are strong, turbulent, energetic winds, they make the residents of Vladivostok unlike the rest. They give us energy, strength and determination to remain one of the brightest places on the map of Russia. These winds have been blowing here for centuries, forming a strong character of many generations of Primorsky residents.
The organizer of the Primorsky monsoon event is the Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) with the support of the Ministry of Tourism of Primorsky Krai and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation within the framework of the national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry".
History of the Primorsky Monsoon Festival
The first festival was held in 2023 from September 30 to October 7. It allowed us to “transfer” to the past of Vladivostok: the 70s, 80s and 90s. Within 8 days, 7 different thematic platforms worked. About 20 excursions and lectures were held, based on the history of the city on the shores of the Sea of Japan. The most athletic ran the marathon on the bridges of Vladivostok. Everyone could listen to the performances of creative teams, take part in master classes, look at educational sessions and even learn about their future. Gastronomy diversity was provided by 40 restaurants and cafes from 25 regions of Russia. In total, 83 thousand residents and guests of Primorye visited the festival sites.
In 2024, the festival was held for the second time.It was held from September 26 to October 13. This time, the festival was slightly modernized, but no less interesting. Several events were held within the framework of it:
- Vladivostok Music Week
- Family Music Festival "Musical Bridges". From Crimea to Vladivostok"
- international marathon "Bridges of Vladivostok"
- Local Lore Festival "Sikhote-Alin"
Guests of the holiday were waiting for thematic competitions, prize draws, flash mobs for children and adults and much more! Chefs of restaurants and cafes of Vladivostok presented more than 100 dishes of Far Eastern cuisine. In total, almost 33 thousand servings of various dishes and drinks were sold on the festival site during the holidays.
Residents and guests of the Far Eastern capital were offered not only gastronomic, but also intellectual acquaintance with Vladivostok: for two days you could visit free city tours. In total, almost 220 people preferred such walks in the center of Vladivostok.
Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) counter worked at the festival venue, where about 600 people addressed various questions. Residents of Vladivostok and guests of the city were interested in maps and guides around the edge, excursions within the city, beach resting places, schedule of boat trips, posters of theaters, a list of event events.
"The cherry on the cake" of the second "Maritime monsoon" was the performance of the star. The headliner of the festival was the singer of lyrical songs about love McSim, which gained fame in the early two thousandth years. Today she is still an idol among those whose youth fell on that period, as well as among current teenagers.
