Tiger Day in Vladivostok
Tiger Day is an annual holiday celebrated in Vladivostok on the last Sunday of September. This day is dedicated to the protection of the Amur tiger - one of the rarest predators of the planet, living in the Primorsky Territory. The holiday was established in 2000 on the initiative of the writer-hunter Vladimir Troinin.
The event is attended by residents and guests of Primorsky Krai of all ages. Throughout the day there are educational, creative and sports themed areas. In 2024, Tiger Day was held for the 25th time on a new site - the embankment of Tsesarevich.

A distinctive feature of the holiday is a costumed procession, whose participants dress up in tiger costumes. In 2024, almost 3,000 people took part in it. For children, master classes are organized on drawing, modeling and creating crafts on the theme of tigers. Conduct quizzes and contests where children can learn more about the life and habits of the Amur tigers.
